Gene Millen
Gene tells about an experience that prompted a change in his lifestyle…and his life. “In 1990 at age 59, I went to Valley Heart Associates for a routine treadmill examination. The cardiologist looked up from the treadmill report and grimly stated, ‘You're a walking time bomb. You need to go to the hospital immediately.’ Three days later the heart surgeon sawed open my chest and stitched in bypasses to six of my favorite arteries.” Gene’s near heart attack experience kindled a passion for learning and sharing the secrets of how to avoid a heart attack and live a long and active life. In 1992 he took early retirement from banking, and with his wife Bernie opened the Vital Life Health and Wellness Center in Merced, California, which they operated until 2004. The exercise, health and wellness program they developed for people over age 50 was judged number one in California and 2nd in the nation. Gene is an honor graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School and has been certified as a Physical Fitness Specialist and Medical Exercise Specialist. Millen has taught young adult Sunday school classes and bible studies for many years. They now live in Livingston, Ca. and his hobbies include gardening and adding new information to heart and brain health websites which he has developed. They are www.vitalheart.info and www.brainbequick.com . “Our Russian granddaughter Natalie, who was adopted from Siberia, is a special joy. Although Natalie lives in Liberty Hills, Texas we have the great pleasure of seeing, talking and laughing with her nearly every day…due to the great new technology of Videophones. God has truly blessed our lives.” Gene and Bernie’s latest passion is teaching others how to obtain financial independence and time freedom to do the really important things in life. Gene says, "Life is uncertain. When you work for someone else you are at their 'beck and call' and the mercy of the economy. As Jim Rohn has so aptly put it, 'You will never make your fortune by working at a J.O.B. - Just over broke.' "I've also learned that owning a small business is expensive, full of red tape and "owns you" instead of you owning it. "At age 78, with our nest egg scrambled by economic and other forces the future of our Golden Years looked pretty tarnished...until I discovered the ACN business opportunity. I took a hard look at where I would be in 10 years if I just kept on doing what I was doing. It wasn't pretty...I needed a backup plan. I would encourage you to take a hard look at this business. By dedicating just a few hours per week ACN can deliver the financial freedom and time freedom you and your family deserve. I close with a little rhyme. “If the end of the month comes before the money runs out…there’s a much better way that we’ll tell you about.” For more information click here or give me a call at 209-631-6670.
