Part 3 "How To Smother The Fires of Inflammation"

Dear [FIRSTNAME]

In one study of 22,000 men, almost 100 persons died of sudden cardiac arrest (heart attack.) All of these victims had one thing in common...high levels of C-reactive protein.

No less than 11 studies have now shown that people with high levels of CRP are at greater risk of having a heart attack or a stroke.

Can we stop this inflammation? Fortunately the answer is a resounding yes...but it may require some significant changes in how most of us eat. Berries should definitely be on your menu. They contain inflammation-dampening polyphenols, and flavonoids that discourage oxidative damage.

Some of the most powerful inflammation fighters include cold-water fish such as salmon, tuna, halibut, trout, sardines and mackerel.

If you're not a big fish eater or can't get wild fish in your area you should take a daily omega 3 oil supplement that includes pharmaceutical grade fish oil.

It's also important to get your fish oil from a source that has been molecularly distilled to remove dangerous heavy metals and contaminants.

Bernie and I use and recommend the Ultimate Omega Complex by Vital Life Nutritionals. This fish oil comes from fish harvested off the cold clean waters of Northern Norway and is processed in a GMP pharmaceutical facility.

Borage and flax seed oils are organic and cold pressed. I'm convinced that Ultimate Omega is the best omega 3 oil complex on the market. You can find it here.

We also need a high quality all natural vitamin with optimum amount of antioxidants. A one-a-day cheap vitamin just doesn’t provide you with the protection your heart needs.

Exercise also dramatically reduces the amount of inflammation in the blood. A new study at the renowned Cooper Clinic in Dallas, Texas compared the amount of CRP in people with varying levels of fitness.

Those with the highest fitness levels had nearly a 300% lower risk of having a heart attack than those at the lowest fitness levels!

Tomorrow in Part 4 we will discuss how oxidation works and what you can do about.

Watch for it in your email!
