Foods High In Trans Fats Banned...
Finally!

"I'm from the Government
and I'm here to help you."

If you have been counting on a government agency (the FDA) to guide and protect you from choosing unsafe foods that clog your arteries and cause a heart attack, I suggest you take a look at their record.

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) recently reported their intent to remove the "remaining"foods high in trans fats from food manufacturer's products within the next three years.

They stated that this would"prevent 20,000 heart attacks, and 7,000 deaths from heart disease annually."

Why did it take nearly three decades for the FDA to ban foods high in trans fats when the research conclusively proved that they caused heart disease?

Follow the money.

The special interests of food manufacturers, aided by Washington beaurocrats and politicians kept this life-saving information from the public.

As a concession to food processors they will still be allowed to show "zero" trans fats on food labels if the amount of this poison is less than 1 gram per serving, however the serving size on the label is usually understated.

Can the American Heart Association be trusted?

Nope. I did, for many years, but belatedly learned that their advice leaves much to be desired.

They recommend limiting healthy saturated fat, and instead have promoted foods high in trans fats for many years.

They have maligned eggs, meat and dairy products as "cholesterol producing" which their "experts" contend increase risk of heart disease. See Cholesterol Facts to learn the truth.

Dr. Mary EnigRenowned researcher of fats and oils, Dr. Mary Enig has provided evidence to the FDA for many years and has been maligned for her efforts to protect the public.

She reports, "The fact is that for the last four decades, saturated fats have been condemned for the misdeeds of polyunsaturated fats, trans fats, and refined carbohydrates."
In the ongoing Nurses Health Study each 2% increase in trans fat consumption converted to a whopping 93% increase in coronary heart disease!
A study published in The Lancet in 1994 showed that almost three-quarters of the fat found clogging arteries is trans fat.
Contrary to what you often hear from the experts, saturated fats are heart healthy oils, and trans fats can kill us.

Trans fat is is formed by pumping hydrogen into an oil to make it solid and increase the shelf life.

This process changes the molecular structure and turns a perfectly good oil into a toxic product. Any oil heated to a high temperature for deep frying (as in French fries) is loaded with trans fat...even if it started out as a heart healthy vegetable oil before "processing."

Trans Fats Are Not Heart Healthy Oils!

Whenever you see "partially hydrogenated oil" on the label you know it has trans fats...and they are definitely not a heart healthy fat. This includes most packaged foods and margarines, including those that say "cholesterol free". A very clever advertising trick.

To live a long and healthy life avoid the bad fats and increase heart healtlhy cooking oils.

"These Numbers Have Blown My Doctor's Mind!"

"Gene: I just wanted to take a minute and share with you the results of my latest blood work.

"My total cholesterol was 114, my LDL was 48, my HDL was 51 (up from 35), and my triglycerides were 111.

"These numbers have blown my doctor's mind. He has tried for years to get my HDL up above 40.

The only thing different that I am doing is taking the Krill Oil, the Red Yeast Rice with Citrus Bergamot, and the exercise program that you outlined for me.

"I don't know which of these did the trick, or if it was a combination, but these are the best numbers I have ever had....Thank You BIG TIME!"
